Pop that cork!

We almost didn't make it down to Cork, My boyfriend's job seems to be under jeopardy at the moment, well we have known this for quite awhile, The restaurant has got quieter and quieter as the weeks go by. Theres always been something to blame it on,

for instance, the bad weather is keeping people away since they have stopped doing delivery,

last week was back to school time and parents obviously didn't have any money left.

 I want this bag

but then this weekend it got considerably worse, we saw the restaurant is up for sale on Daft.ie, and they haven't even told my boyfriend or any of the staff there Then to put the cherry on the cake, they didn't pay him this week.

Which meant Cork was more or less out of the question. :( until my Mom finally agreed to pay for half of the hotel and I used some spare cash I had in my post office account and off we went.

Off we set we got the bus from Dublin to cork, and as usual were late, and ended up getting the worst seats on the whole bus, second from the back, with an extremely noisy and drunk, rude polish man behind us, who was more of a Dub than the Dubs themselves.

We couldn't wait to get away from him and rush off the bus and head to our lovely hotel, The Gresham Metropole. very nice hotel, although a little noisy at night time, We went to Tasty Oriental for dinner. It was really good and very reasonable 35 euro for 2 people. 3 courses.

The next morning we woke up bright and early, (because of the traffic outside) and had our traditional irish breakfast.

Then headed off into the city to explore, we went to the English market, then to St. Fin Barres Cathedral, University College Cork (I have to say it is almost as big as UCD) then we went to an art gallery which my boyfriend loved, it wasn't like a traditional gallery you would see in France, it was much more contemporary.

We were planning to go to FItzgerald park and Mueseum, but it started lashing raining and we were starving, so we gave it a miss, but sure theres always next time.

We got on our bus at 6 and were glad to see their were no drunk polish men around. We made it back to Bray at 12 and I crashed out on the bed straight away my poor little legs were walked off me!! lol

Birthday distress

Its almost my boyfriends birthday, we are celebrating his birthday according to the lunar calender this year, because apparently his family always celebrated that way and he was working on the day of his actual birthday and i didn't even get to see him :( but never mind.

To be honest my gifts for him have always been a bit hit and miss. The first year we were together I bought him a wallet while I was on holidays. But he didn't like it >.< it was a bit too fat... it couldn't fit in his pocket properly

Then for his birthday last year i gave him some Aftershave and shaving lotion, I thought it was a nice set. He uses it sometimes but I still think it was a bit soso.

Then for Christmas I gave him a Tshirt.

Then when I was in Italy this summer I brought him back a tshirt and a camera bag holder. I think the camera holder was the most sucessful gift as it was something practical that he actually needed. However it was black. so it was still a bit soso.

so basically all the gifts I have given him have been soso. So for his birthday I want to buy something a bit more special. But I don't know what to get.

If I think practically we need a mop and bucket, which would make a really horrible gift lol. lets spend your birthday cleaning lol. Another practical thing we need is a clothes horse, nothing says a great birthday gift like lets get washing lol. Another thing we need is a bookshelf, a shoe horse, a desk, a maid.

Even better a baby mop lol

I know he would really like a touch screen phone,because his phone is ancient.. an Ipad, a gameboy 3DSI would also be ideal, but my funds are lacking.

So whats left? new pyjamas, meh, shoes? maybe,

All smurfed out!

Too be honest I haven't really seen any cartoon movies that I've liked since Tangled, as Megamind was a bit of a disappointment and Kung fu panda 2 was just ok. Basically they all put me off going to see cartoon movies.

But then at the start of the summer my brother told the family that his girlfriend loves smurfs, (this was way before there was any word about the movie) then when we went on holidays to Italy, my brother spent most of the holiday buying smurf related souvenirs for his girlfriend such as

a Smurf Blanket

Smurf balls

Smurf comic books (in italian which he translated when we got home)

Smurf pencils

Smurf tshirt

Then a few weeks after we got back from our holidays and I found out that there was going to be a new Smurf movie. A smurf epidemic was about to start.

Then I saw pictures of Katy Perry at the premier where a smurf dress. Then I knew I have to see this movie! So today me my friend Nancy and Michelle went to see it. The beginning was very good, but parts of the middle were a bit boring.but overall it was pretty good.

Then after the movie we went to a korean bbq restaurant for dinner ^^ But it was a bit sad because this is probably the last dinner for the 3 of us in Ireland anyway, Michelle is going back to China for good next Sunday. Tomorrow I have another fair well lunch tommorrow, My friend Edison is going back to china on the 18th of August

 So basically I will be eating all weekend lol

I can't sleeo

This is the story of my life these days, me and my boyfriend have been driven demented this week. Every night my boyfriend has a new excuse about why he can't go to sleep at a reasonable time like a normal person.

I just finished work, I need some time to relax before I go to bed.

I just ate a snack, I can't possibly go to sleep on an full stomach.

I am not tired yet

The trains are too noisy

Our neighbors are too noisy.

I have heard these excuses a dozen times and most of the time I just ignore them or accept them and go to sleep before him. I am quite a light sleeper, I like the room to be totally silent before I can go to sleep, I can't stand

Taps dripping

Radiators dripping

tv shining on me,

someone typing

rustling papers

shining lights.

Considering we live in a studio apartment there's not much places for my boyfriend to go. So usually if he can't sleep my boyfriend watches a movie with his earphones in and doesn't bother me at all.

However since Wednesday our internet has been cut off. so no movies so the only alternative he has is to play games on his computer which requires a lot of clicking and banging on the keyboard. Which
completely stops me from sleeping and drives me mad.

So since Wednesday my boyfriend has had no alternative but to move into the bathroom to play his video games. Its a very funny sight indeed.

But yesterday, I had fallen asleap and he was still up and felt hungry and didn't want to start making loads a noise so he went out to try and buy some this was at 2am and surprise surprise everywhere was closed so he headed to his friends house and ate noodles there and drank some beer.

Then he came back to our appartment at god knows what time. It looked bright outside and gave the door a huge bang and woke me up. Then after awhile he got into bed and started trying to go to sleep.

We turned this direction tossed that direction and my god looked at the clock 6.30 we couldn't fall asleap. he got up and started to play his game again while I decided to change my sleeping direction and moved my pillow to the top of the bed and tried one more time to fall asleap and thank god I did

I woke up at 10.30 with a gigantic headache and decided to head back to my house. Then my dad dropped me to my uncles house to mind students. so although I really want to take a nap right now I can't I am waiting for them to come home at 11 and then im going to go to bed and fingers crossed have a peaceful night sleep lol
