My top 5 favorite movies (which ended up being all 90's movies for some reason)

Y'all are going to hate me for this list, but its in no particular order and one is a bit girly.

1. Independence Day

This movie has a lot of action and a lot of good actors.  I especially love Will Smith, Bill Pullman and Jeff Goldblum.

2. Twister

Another good action movie.  I fear tornadoes, and thats what makes this movie amazing.  It scares me, but keeps me interested. Good actors: Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton.

3. Schindler's List

This one is just sad, but the story telling and choreography is amazing.  Good on Steven Spielberg.  Good actors: Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes (aka Voldemort), and Ben Kingsley.

4. When Harry Meet Sally
Just a good romantic comedy.  This was Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan in the height of their careers.  Amazing!

5. Princess Bride
Rob Reiner has made the list twice as a director, but this movie is also very very good.  It might even be my number one movie.  I am really not sure.  Cary Elwes is amazing as always (come to think of it he also made the list twice because he is in Twister too).  This movie also has the awesome Andre the Giant.

Other movies I love: Jurrasic Park (the first one), Monty Python and the Holly Grail, History of the World Part 1, Mogambo, To Catch a Thief, Charades, Arsenic and Old Lace, Spaceballs, Star Wars IV, Star Wars V, Star Wars VI, Star Trek (2009), Notorious (1946), Tora Tora Tora, Hunt for Red October, Sean Connery James Bond movies, Daniel Craig James Bond movies, His Girl Friday, Pillow Talk, Calamity Jane, Meet Me in St. Louis, Shop Around the Corner, Guys and Dolls, Summer Stock, Singin' in the Rain, Dial M for Murder, other Hitchcock golds, Pulp Fiction, The Dark Knight, Lord of the Rings Triology, Fight Club, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Usual Suspects (this should be on the list of top five), Leon: the Professional, Alien Triology, Spirited Away, Amelie, Wall-E, Back to the Future Triology, Inglourious Basterds, anything by Disney and Pixar, Die Hard, The Great Escape, Dirty Harry, Cool Hand Luke, The Sixth Sense, Kill Bill v. 1 and V. 2, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Ben-Hur, Ten Commandments, Gandhi, Harry Potter movies, and probably more that I have seen that I can't remember or haven't seen and is still on my list of movies to see.

Plans for the future: to make a top 100 list.  Dan Spencer are you in?

Damn you Census!

It's Census time in Ireland at the moment, well I suppose technically it was during the weekend, but ours still haven't been collected... Our appartment is a bit off the beaten track... so perhaps its never going to be collected which makes it even more annoying GRRRR!!

Well the main reason it was annoying was because it was so bloody long... and very very personal. which I suppose it's supposed to be. But the incredibly annoying part was the following question

How would you describe your health?
(a) Very good
(b) Good
(c) Bad
(d) Very Bad

No sooner had I picked very good, then I suddenly came down with a horrific sore throat. Damn Census!! Now I know the census didn't give me the sore throat, I just feel like it jynxed me, in general I am very healthy. I don't normally get stomach aches, vomiting or anything like that.

But anyway I have identified the main culprits who caused me this misery, Polish, not Polish people, polish food, On Sunday night, me and my boyfriend decided to stay at home and watch a movie, Alice in Wonderland.

we wanted to get some snacks and we thought we would be adventurous and try polish snacks, OK I lied we thought we would be lazy and go to the polish shop across the road. We bought Polish digestive biscuits and Polish loop crackers. Don't ask me the names because we threw them all in the bin..

Word of warning when you eat polish snacks don't eat too many in one go. Especially when you don't know whats in them. That was our biggest mistake. We just munched on them for the whole movie and then the next morning we woke up and OH MY GOD our throats were so sore.

So my boyfriend decided we would go on a hot food free diet, no oil, no spices, no meat. Just vegetables and fruit. Thrust me not Yum.

Yesterday I was starting to feel a lot better, then last night I made a huge mistake we went to the pub and I had 2 bottles of Smirnoff ice WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING?? then I woke up this morning and I can't speak.  So its pretty quiet in our apartment right now... I also have a meeting later at college, I might have to bring my boyfriend as a spokesperson

Does anyone know what to do if the Census man forgets to collect your Census form?? I'd feel terribly guilty if we made the official count inaccurate. 4 million people + 2 forgotten people so sad lol

Sometimes you just need a good cry

Too be honest I have always been a terribly weepy person, (especially at that time of the month...) When I was in Secondary School I always used to cry in French class,

Especially in second and third year. My teacher Ms. M, hated me or that's what I thought. Basically anytime I hadn't done my homework or I had forgotten my homework copy my teacher used to scream at me and make me feel extremely embarrassed and uncomfortable. Then I would ball my eyes out.

I remember one time I left my homework copybook in my locker and she came down to my locker and took everything out of my locker and tidied my locker for me and took my copybook to correct. Everyone around me thought it was hilarious.

But I will never forget the time when we were discussing transition year in French class and I said categorically "I am not doing it" another 5 other students also stated they were not doing it. But at the end of class she said in front of everyone "Sarah will you stay back, I want to talk to you" I was freaked out, did I forget to hand up some homework???

But no!! She wanted to tell me how stupid I am for deciding to not to Transition year, Stating I am to young, too immature,

It will be the biggest mistake I will ever make, asking Have you talked to your parents? Anyway she made me feel so small.

When I told my Mom she was fuming, How dare she try to meddle into my personal choices. The thing that bothered me was that half some of the other students in my french class who were skipping transition year were younger than me... and she didn't embarrass them or question them..

Perhaps some people reading this will agree with Ms. M and say Transition year was the best year ever and that I made a huge mistake not doing it... but my brother did it and although he loved the first half of the year with the musical, trips and all that Jazz but the second half of the year was totally half arsed and he hated going to school because they literally weren't doing anything everyday, free classes are no use when you don't get any homework in anything...So no I don't regret it at all.

Another thing that makes or has made me cry is Jacqueline Wilson books, I remember being on a flight from Spain to Ireland when I was 10 or 11 years old and sobbing the whole way back, people on the plane must of thought I was so devastated to be coming back to Ireland...

I cried when my ex boyfriend told me that his ex girlfriend had cheated on him. I felt really really sad  I think I crossed the line between sympathetic and over sympathetic....

Anyway my most recent cry came today when I was reading a book called "Room" It's got to be the most saddest book I have read in along time. I was reading it at the apartment last night whilst waiting for my boyfriend to get home and was sobbing away when my boyfriend came in the door... He thought someone had died

My boyfriend cried twice at the cinema, The first time was when we watched Love and other drugs and the second time when we watched Guilivers travels. It was quite funny, he is so cute!!
Love & Other DrugsGulliver's Travels [Blu-ray 3D]

But the thing I hate most when I'm crying is when someone gets angry and starts giving out to me for crying and complaining that I am embarrassing them. My ex boyfriend used to do this. He used to fight with me a lot and sometimes I ended up crying on the street or on the train or the bus. The last time I cried in public was the day me and my boyfriend went to the second solicitor.

I'd do anything....?

Chinese men are crazy @.@ at least the ones i know lol! I have one friend, well friend is to strong... Frenemy is better or simply nuisance who has attached himself to me, much to my boyfriend's displeasure. He is a former classmate so i feel i have to accommodate him in my life sometimes. Usually he tries to arrange to meet me in the most inconvenient of times. For example while I was in my new college he asked to meet me several times, on days when i didn't have college, but the thing was he wanted to collect me at my new college... at get this 8AM because that is the time my earliest class would start normally. Which made meeting him feel like a bit of a chore since i hate getting up at 6:45 to get into college for 8'oc. So anytime he tried to organize these sort of meet ups i always canceled because they were outrageous.

Other times he would ask me to meet up with him. i would accept then he would tell me can I make my own way to his house by bus. One bus wouldn't be too bad, but one bus and then a luas and then a walk just sounds totally undesirable and a waste of time. He is the one with a car he should drive to wherever i am, at a time that suits me and collect me at a reasonable time if he wants to see me, Right? Men so so lazy!!

But tomorrow is the limit! He rang me last night and asked am i free on Saturday, honestly, yes, meaning i want to have a lie in because i have no reason to get up early! He said great i will be at your house at 8AM on Saturday morning after i finish in the gym and we can go to the zoo! Mental!! absolutely mental! Just gets crazier and crazier. What a royal pain in the ass! What a sleepy head!

Funnily enough it reminds me of the Oliver Twist classic I'd do anything... Possibly one of the most romantic songs ever made,  My situation is the exact opposite!!! His song should be I'd do nothing for you!!

I'd do Anything Nothing
I'd do anything nothing for you dear
anything nothing
for you mean everything
to me

I know that
I'd go anywhere nowhere for your smile
anywhere nowhere
for your smile
everywhere I see

Would you climb a hill?
anything nothing
Wear a daffodil?
anything nothing
Leave me all your will?
anything nothing
Even fight my Bill?
What fisticuffs?

I'd risk everything for one kiss
everything
Yes I'd do anything nothing
Anything Nothing?
Anything Nothing for you

I'd do anything nothing for you dear
anything nothing
for you mean everything
to me

I know that
I'd go anywhere nowhere for your smile
anywhere nowhere
for your smile
everywhere I see

Would you lace my shoe?
anything nothing
Paint your face bright blue?
anything nothing
Catch a kangaroo?
anything nothing
Go to Timbuktu?
And back again

I'd risk everything for one kiss
everything nothing
Yes I'd do anything nothing
Anything Nothing?
Anything Nothing for you

I know that
I'd go anywhere nowhere for your smile
anywhere nowhere
for your smile
everywhere I see

I know that
I'd do anything nothing for you dear
anything nothing
for you mean everything
to me

To me!
To me!
To me!
To me me me me me!

I'd do anything nothing for you dear
anything nothing
Yes I'd do anything
anything nothing
Anything Nothing for you

Would you rob a shop?
anything nothing
Would you risk the drop?
anything nothing
Though your eyes go POP!
Anything
When you come down PLOP!
Hang everything

We'd risk life and limb
To keep you in the swim
Yes we'd do anything nothing
Anything?
anything nothing for you

Well hopefully i can persuade him to collect me a bit later.... as his plan for us were actually quite sweet he wanted to go to the zoo and i love the zoo :) and i can take a lot of photos there. But who knows perhaps something else will crop up and delay him.... Most of you reading this will probably think this guy is all talk and even if he said 8AM there is no way he would actually go there at time, but actually he is one of the most reliable and punctual persons i have ever met. If he says wait 3 minutes and i will be there he actually will be there. During the snowy weather we had in Ireland before Christmas both of my parents were unable to go to work because the snow was so bad around our house, He rang me at 10'oc that day and said what am i doing, obviously i was stuck at home because i hate walking on slippy icy snow.  He told me ok i will be there in 1 hour i want you to come to see my house and build a snow girl with me ^^ I didn't even bother getting ready to go out. I thought there's noway he would get here from Tallaght. but sure enough 11'oc on the dot i looked out the window and there he was parked outside!

Although he may be rather inconsiderate and likes to suit himself, He is one of the most reliable and punctual people i have ever met! Also he is an incredibly good chef. He can cook the most delicious food!
